Orphans & helpless victims of the “Anglophone Crisis”

The conflict in the North Western region of Cameroon has already caused numerous deaths and I really hope the decision our government took today will ease and even end this situation…

I spoke to Mavis , co-founder of the house of hope orphanage which CamWomen has been sponsoring and working with for the past years. It is sad to see that even little children, orphans,  are going through the psychological trauma caused by the crisis. I was even told one night, guardians and orphans had to leave their house under the rain and fled into the forest to avoid physical abuse. I also stumbled upon another report from journalist Mimi Mefo describing how a pregnant women had to give birth in a camp after fleeing their villages…

I really hope the situation gets better, for our children, for our country, for Africa.
